Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shchenko is an Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay champion. She competes currently within the UFC Flyweight division. She is also the older sister of the former UFC Flyweight champion and co- UFC competitor Valentina. Antonina's superior strike skills let her TKO Nievera via knees in the body. In the aftermath of this victory, Antonina was offered a UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko was able to make her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hitters Finale against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was victorious in the unanimous decision, but fell in the second round to Roxanne Modafferi via the split decision. Antonina recovered from the loss to beat Lucie Pudilova by choking her back in a rear-naked submission in the second round UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the extra fight of the evening for this bout. Shevchenko had a win in her first three bouts, but lost her next three fights to Katlyn Cahookagian, Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina was recently knocked out by KO in the second round, losing to Casey O'Neill, at UFC Fight Night Santos Vs. Walker.
